The Good
I can now watch my favourite games Live without any additional payments needed. Beats paying pay per view every time there is a big game that I would want to watch.
The Bad
It is not compatible with MAC computers. The other downside is that on some international channels, the programs are not available for viewing due to difference in time zones, however this seems to be the norm and sometimes the channels run re-runs of the days shows.
The "Tell It Like It Is" Part
This is a great product for TV enthusiast who wants to watch their programs and hear their music conveniently. Travelling can be gruelling for a sports enthusiast like me, but with my laptop and Satellite TV for PC Pro, I can watch the games Live with a good Internet connection. The Elite version is better value though.
Video Streaming Efficiency:
Is video/audio delivered efficiently?
Everything plays well on this software; even the international channels sounded crisp and clear. This is an outstanding digital technology there are a lot of channels in stunning HD quality picture.
Are channels viewed often paused or static?
You can sometimes experience down times on some TV channels that are in certain time zones. Internet media offers their programs for free but not all of them offer their services 24/7. But you will always have more than enough channels to entertain you.
User Interface:
First Impressions
It looks dull and very business-like. Not that the appearance is that much important but a splash of color would be very nice.
User Friendly, easy to Use?
There is a video tutorial that comes with the package very user-friendly and the free channels upgrades regularly that even a kid can use it. Loading time for audio and video program is quite fast so you would not experience much pausing.
Logical Navigation, pleasing Interface?
The TV stations are separated into different counties and the software interface design makes it easy to browse through channels and countries you wish to watch.

Speed and Resource Handling:
How does the application perform after installed?
After installation, you can instantly watch international satellite channels straight from your PC. It will only take you a few seconds to tap into 2000 channels.
Is it a memory hog?
No, it does not take up a lot of memory space. You just have to install the program just like any other application but the programs you watch do not need to be saved in your computer. So the only thing that is saved in your computer is your installed program but the rest of its application is in its software and Internet connection. Seems to handle memory pretty good.
Does it max out CPU usage often?
I would not say that it is the CPU usage but when I started using this, my computer did slow down. After using the software for a while, my computer started working normally. This sometimes happens when you install new software, as there is certain caching algorithms that need to take place on initial load.

You do not need to buy a PC-TV card or extra hardware equipments like you have to in with some other products, which I guess isn't exactly special, but interesting to note. With Satellite TV for PC Pro, all the TV channels are streamed through Internet connection. So if you have a fairly speedy PC and an Internet connection, you're good.

If you have questions, you can call their 1800 tech support that is available 24/7, and they have email support.
Do they respond to support requests quickly and get problems resolved?
They have a good customer service that is friendly and courteous. They also respond pretty quick and try to help you solve your problems.
Does It Deliver?:
Does this software deliver what it says from the sales page?
The Satellite TV for PC Pro does deliver and is what I have expected by reading their description. Actually I was expecting it not to work as it seemed too good to be true, but it does.
Are there things that it lacks?
The speed would greatly depend on your Internet connection. A regular broadband with 512kbps would take about 20 second to load up your channels, but the faster your connection is, the faster the Satellite TV for PC Pro works.
Anything it overdelivers?
The product works anywhere in the world and can get channels all over the world. I can now watch my soccer and my football games live wherever and whenever I want.
